Yard-Nique was started in April of 1997 by Brian DuMont (current president/CEO of Yard-Nique) while attending NC State University. Yard-Nique initially was a source of income while still in school pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture Science. After graduating from NC State in 1998 Brian put all of his efforts into pursuing his dream and moving forward with Yard-Nique. What started out as a single truck and at most one or two helpers Yard-Nique has turned into one of the leaders of the industry here in the triangle. With over 250 employees Yard-Nique is able to serve ALL of your exterior needs. “I like to consider Yard-Nique to be a one stop shop; One phone call and we can take care of all of your needs”. One of the big component for the success of Yard-Nique is the people. “Our team is the big reason we are where we are today. I focus a tremendous amount of effort into everyone that puts on a Yard-Nique uniform. Without them we would not be where we are today they are the face of the company and represent who we are”. Even though we are a larger operation a family atmosphere is very important to Yard-Nique. Several members of Brian’s family work in the company: Bill DuMont, CFO; Barbara DuMont, office administrator. “We attract a great deal of key employees due to our large volume and variation in services but still keep the down home family atmosphere”. No matter how large we grow as a company, the family atmosphere is what got us to where we are and that is very important to not only myself but everyone at Yard-Nique”

Brian DuMont
PRESIDENT
Brian started the company in 1997 while attending NC State University. After receiving a degree in Landscape Horticulture in 1998, he continued with his dream of having his own landscape business. That dream is now shared with 180 employees. “Over the past 14 years the company has grown, however I strive to make sure we are no different than the day we started. Everyone here is an intricate part of our success and without everyone’s help we would not be where we are today.” Brian enjoys cycling, triathlons, alpine and telemark skiing, hiking, and his favorite pastime is hockey. Brian and his wife Aaren of 9 years recently had their first child Dylan Whitaker on Jan 31, 2012… The next generation of Yard-Nique.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OF MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS
Brian is a graduate of Wright State University in Dayton Ohio. He moved to North Carolina from Des Moines Iowa back in 2000. Brian has been in the green industry for 8 years, both in production and business development. He came to Yard-Nique in June of 2011 doing mainly Business Development but also helps in the day to day maintenance operations. Brian is married, has 2 sons, Garrett and Joey and 2 step children Jack and Emily. He keeps himself busy coaching his children and enjoying life with his family! Brian is an outdoorsman and enjoys playing golf and baseball.
Jerald Henderson
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OF DESIGN/BUILD OPERATIONS
Jerald graduated from N.C. State University in 1997 with a degree in Turfgrass Management with a concentration in Golf Course Management. After working in the golf industry in North Carolina, Florida, and Detroit, he moved back to Raleigh and began working in the landscape field. After almost 14 years in the green industry he joined Yard- Nique earlier this year. Jerald works in the installation department overseeing large installations for developers as well as working in business development with builders and construction companies. Jerald has been married for 13 years and enjoys camping, traveling and snowboarding with his wife and 2 daughters.
Jenny Moore
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE AND BILLING COORDINATOR
Jenny earned her degree from East Carolina University in 2004 with a major in Managerial Finance. She started her career in banking and finance. She joined the Yard-Nique team in 2007 as Office Manager. She is responsible for payroll, invoicing, accounts receivable, and supports senior office staff. Jenny is a dog lover who enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family.
John Wolfe
OPERATIONS MANAGER FOR DESIGN/BUILD DIVISION (MORRISVILLE/CREEDMOOR)
Jon is a graduate of North Carolina State University Horticulture Program with a concentration in landscape design. He started his landscaping career as an intern with Yard-Nique in the summer of 2006 and has continued to work with the company ever since. Currently serving as the Director of Landscape Operations in the Raleigh market, Jon enjoys helping the Yard-Nique team create and install beautiful and functional landscapes for builders & homeowners. He is a NC Landscape Contractor as well as a Certified Plant Professional & holds BMP Inspection/ Maintenance Certification. In his spare time Jon enjoys working around the house and spending time with his wonderful wife & amazing baby girl.
Tyler Motley
OPERATIONS MANAGER FOR DESIGN /BUILD (FAYETTEVILLE)
Tyler graduated from N.C. State with a BS in Horticulture in 2008. Before graduating, he began working with Yard-Nique in the summer of 2005, as an intern and crew leader for the pruning crew. After graduation, he joined the Install department full-time as a Project Manager. He has been working for Yard-Nique since then, taking a hiatus in 2009 to tour Costa Rica for three months, and volunteer on several organic farms in the area as a part of the WWOOF (Willing Workers on Organic Farms) organization. He started working for Yard-Nique again in mid April of 2010 and currently runs the Fayetteville Install division, as well as oversees the efforts in our newest location, Jacksonville, NC. When not working, his focus is on family, fun and anything outdoors.
Gina Williams
OPERATIONS MANAGER FOR IRRIGATION DIVISION
Gina received her degree from Peace College. She has built a career as office support staff for several construction companies. In 2005, she took a position with Rainmaker Inc. She was responsible for dispatch, scheduling, customer service, and payroll. She is an absolute wizard with the Hindsite Scheduling Software and a Notary Public. With her skills, she handles on average 1,500 customers a year. In 2010, Rainmaker was bought by Yard-Nique and became its irrigation division. With her indispensable skills, Gina was brought in as the division manager. Gina has three sons. She loves to fish, read, and is a movie buff.
Bobby Jones
LEAD DESIGNER
Bobby joined the Yard-Nique family in 2010, and is currently the landscape designer for the company. He graduated from NCSU with a B.S. Degree in Horticulture Science, Landscape concentration; and also has a Permaculture design/consultant certification. He works closely with the install and maintenance departments, providing them with drawings, sketches, and designs ranging from community common spaces, to small scale residential renovations. Bobby is a jovial person who enjoys sports and the outdoors.
Tyler Maccarone
SERVICE TECH FOR IRRIGATION DIVISION
Tyler started his landscaping career working on golf courses. In 2000 he joined Yard-Nique when it was just a company with a single truck and trailer. In 2003 he took over responsibilities for irrigation just in time for the explosive growth the company was enjoying. By 2009 he was managing the Irrigation Division. In 2010, Tyler transferred to the position of Residential Project Manager. Tyler just celebrated his first anniversary, has three dogs, loves motorcycles and sports. He make his home in Fuquay-Varina NC.
Josh Clark
SERVICE TECH FOR IRRIGATION DIVISION
Josh Clark has been with Yard-Nique since it’s founding. Josh has worked his way up in the company from crew member, to crew leader and now the Irrigation Supervisor. Josh has earned the North Carolina certification as a Back Flow tester. Josh can do anything from plan and execute installations with the latest in SMART irrigation to upgrading conventional irrigations systems. He coordinates with the project managers to turn on and winterize systems at all of our properties. Josh’s first priority is family. He has a wife of eight years with two boys and a girl. He makes his home in Clayton.
John Biondolillo
ACCOUNT MANAGER FOR MAINTENANCE DIVISION
John attended the University of Toledo and has been in the landscaping industry for over 20 years. John has been working for Yard-Nique for almost one year. He is originally from Buffalo, New York. John is an avid sports fan and during his free new time enjoys spending time with his wife, Krista and new daughter, Gia Anabella.
Barrett Hines
ACCOUNT MANAGER FOR MAINTENANCE DIVISION
Barrett has been a member of Yard-Nique’s Landscape Maintenance division since January 2010. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture from North Carolina State University. Prior to working at Yard-Nique, Barrett’s experience in the green industry included retail nursery sales and landscape installation. Barrett lives in Raleigh with his wife, Allison, and his dog, Milo. He enjoys the outdoors, golfing and traveling.
Joe Rufty
PROJECT MANAGER DESIGN/BUILD DIVISION
Joseph serves as a project manager for Yard-Nique’s installation division. Joseph has worked in the landscape industry for ten years primarily in residential installation. He graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Horticultural Science with a focus in Landscape Design from North Carolina State University. Joseph is a Certified North Carolina Landscape Contractor. His extensive client interaction, as well as attention to detail, provides customers with highly satisfactory results. Joseph is an avid NC State Wolfpack fan. He enjoys sports, time spent on the lake, and attempting to play golf.
Aaron Hersberger
PROJECT MANAGER DESIGN/BUILD DIVISION
Originally from Wooster, OH, Aaron graduated from The Ohio State University in 2005, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Landscape Horticulture and with a minor in Landscape Construction. After graduating from Ohio State and working several years in the landscape industry, he moved to Charlotte, NC in April 2007. While in Charlotte, he worked for a small landscape company, overseeing the installation of irrigation systems, and landscapes. Additionally, he was the maintenance account manager for the company’s maintenance division until February 2011. With over ten years experience in the landscape industry, Aaron joined the team at Yard-Nique in February 2011, where he is currently a project manager. He oversees the installation of irrigation systems and landscaping that is installed for various builders in the Holly Springs area. One of the projects he manages is the installation of the Inside Wade Avenue neighborhood near the RBC Center.
Rob McCombs
PROJECT MANAGER DESIGN/BUILD DIVISION
Rob attended Wake Tech for Landscape Architecture and NC State for Horticulture. He has been in the landscape field for 16 years. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Katy, and two sons John Parks, and Harrison. He also enjoys watching football and playing golf.
Tyler Chase
ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER
Originally from Snow Hill North Carolina, Tyler moved to the triangle area in the fall of 2007 to attend NC State University to study Agricultural and Environmental Technologies. Tyler joined the Yard-Nique staff in the summer of 2011 as a laborer. In the past year, has climbed through the ranks of Detail Crew leader and Install Crew leader to his current position as Assistant Project Manager. Prior to joining the Yard-Nique team, Tyler worked in the Landscape Installation industry for 7 years. When not at work ,Tyler is an avid duck hunter, fisherman, and also enjoys spending time with his friends and family.
