Brian started the company in 1997 while attending NC State University. After receiving a degree in Landscape Horticulture in 1998, he continued with his dream of having his own landscape business. Brian now shares that dream with Yard-Nique employees across the Southeastern US. “Over the years, the company has grown; however, I strive to make sure we are no different than the day we started. Everyone here is an intricate part of our success and without everyone’s help we would not be where we are today.” Brian enjoys spending time with the woman of his dreams Summer, and their blended family of 6 children- Autumn, Austin, Skylar, Dylan, and twins Reed and Brielle. When Brian is not working or attending one of many of the children’s events, he is off with Summer following another passion of his- to be the next Chip and Joanna Gaines fixing up, staging, and flipping houses.

Bill joined Yard-Nique after retiring from IBM in 2003. He is responsible for all financial operations. Bill is married and has 3 children- Brian, Elizabeth, and Robert. Bill spends his free time enjoying his home at the coast while managing a successful rental housing business. He also enjoys playtime with his five beautiful grandkids.

Brian is a graduate of Wright State University in Dayton Ohio. He moved to North Carolina from Des Moines Iowa back in 2000. Prior to joining Yard-Nique, Brian had over 8 years in the green industry, both in production and business development. He joined the Yard-Nique team in June of 2011. Brian is married, and has a blended family with 5 children. He keeps himself busy coaching his children in athletics, and enjoying life with his family! Brian is an outdoorsman and enjoys playing golf and baseball.

Bobby joined the Yard-Nique family in the spring of 2010. In addition to managing Yard-Nique’s brand, he is also one of the company’s landscape designers. He graduated from NCSU with a B.S. Degree in Horticulture Science, Landscape concentration. Bobby also has a Permaculture design/consultant certification. In his free time, Bobby enjoys the outdoors, cycling, and playing bass guitar in the band Closers Only.

Adam joined Yard-Nique in 2013. He has more than 20 years of landscape and horticulture experience, primarily in commercial maintenance. Originally from Florida, he moved to North Carolina in 2005 and worked for a wholesale nursery before returning to account management. Adam enjoys spending time at the beach with his wife Amy and daughter Taylor.

Tyler graduated from N.C. State with a BS in Horticulture in 2008. Before graduating, he began working with Yard-Nique in the summer of 2005, as an intern and crew leader for the pruning crew. After graduation, he joined the Install department full-time as a Project Manager. He has been working for Yard-Nique since then, taking a hiatus in 2009 to tour Costa Rica for three months, and volunteer on several organic farms in the area as a part of the WWOOF (Willing Workers on Organic Farms) organization. He started working for Yard-Nique again in mid April of 2010 and currently runs the Fayetteville Install division, as well as oversees the efforts in our newest location, Jacksonville, NC. When not working, his focus is on family, fun and anything outdoors.

Norma Putnam joined the Yard-Nique family in March 2017. Originally from Texas, she moved to the area in 2012. Norma has a background in HR and as a Compliance Manager conducting Quality Assurance and ensuring Quality Management. Prior to working at Yard-Nique, her experience in horticulture came from being a member of The National FFA Organization. Norma enjoys going to baseball and hockey games, loves a trip to the beach, hanging out with her family, and journaling in her spare time.

Originally from Niagara Falls, NY, Claudia moved to Raleigh in 2003. Before joining Yard-Nique in 2016, she taught high school math for 15 years and operated a small business with her husband. Claudia has a B.S. degree in Finance from University at Buffalo and a Masters in Education from Canisius College. Her interests include volunteering, live music, hiking, books and movies, estate sales and flea markets, and spending time with her husband Jim and their two furry children Harley and Sydney at the beach.
