We have a unique bond among all members of the Yardnique team that permeates our entire organization.  I guess you could say “from the ground-up” we share common values and a love for family, the outdoors and beautiful landscapes. And that all starts with our leadership team.

Brian DuMont

President/CEO

Brian started Yardnique in 1997 while attending NC State University mowing lawns and providing landscaping services to make an income while in school. He graduated in 1998 with  a degree in Landscape Horticulture and continued with his dream of building his landscape busines that is now shared with over 400 Yardnique employees across the Southeastern US. Brian’s vision and leadership continues to drive the company’s growth but he never forgets his roots and humble beginnings.  As a result, deeply embedded into the culture of the company is a mutual respect for every Yardnique team member and customer, recognizing the important role they play in assuring continued success. Brian enjoys spending time with his wife Summer, and their blended family of 6 children- Autumn, Austin, Skylar, Dylan, and twins Reed and Brielle. When Brian is not working or attending one of many of the children’s events, he is off with Summer following another passion of his – to be the next Chip and Joanna Gaines fixing up, staging, and flipping houses.

Rob Wood

CFO

Rob joined the Company as its CFO in 2021.  Rob has over 30 years of progressive financial experience in financial reporting, planning, and analysis. Previously, he was the CFO/Controller at several private-equity backed companies (Stay Online, Electronic Systems Protection, Burt’s Bees and TogetherSoft). Rob began his career at Deloitte & Touche and is a graduate of Fairfield University in CT.  When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, swimming, exercising, and scuba diving.  

Summer DuMont

Director of Accounting

Summer is originally from Pennsylvania but has called North Carolina home since 2002. Summer has been on the sales end of Yardnique along with the accounts receivable and has enjoyed both. Of all the many ventures Brian and Summer have their hands in real estate is her  favorite. She loves creating new spaces and designing them as well. With 6 children and all of their activities it doesn’t leave much free time, but when she does have some she loves to travel.  The ocean being a place she is able to truly find peace and relaxation. Summer also enjoys helping her community, she and Brian started a nonprofit organization, New Beginnings North Carolina, in 2019 to help people get the jump start they may need in life.

Bill DuMont

Analyst

Bill joined Yardnique after a xx carreer at IBM. He is responsible for all financial operations and plays an integral role in the company’s expansion into new markets. Bill is married and has 3 children- Brian, Elizabeth, and Robert. Bill spends his free time enjoying his home at the coast while managing a successful rental housing business. He also enjoys playtime with his five beautiful grandkids.

Norma Ávalos

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Originally from Texas, Norma moved to North Carolina in 2012 and joined the Yardnique family in March 2017. Norma’s background in Business Management and Administration has been invaluable while assisting Yardnique’s CEO day in and day out.  Norma enjoys new adventures while traveling, going to baseball and hockey games, loves a trip to the beach, hanging out with her family, and journaling in her spare time.  

Jordan Henderson

Regional Sales Leader

Jordan is from Mebane, North Carolina and joined the Yardnique family in 2021.  Jordan comes from a long background of sales, including technology sales, SaaS and commercial landscaping. She enjoys helping others and developing big strategy ideas.  Jordan enjoys hunting, visiting her home at Oak Island, riding motorcycles, and spending time with her husband and kids.

James Olson

BUSINESS DEVELOPER

James is a graduate from Iowa State University, with degrees in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, and Philosophy. James migrated south to Memphis and then made his way to North Carolina where he now calls home. James came to Yardnique in 2014 with over 20 years of Residential Design/Build experience from the inside out. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife Nora and son Justin. Most weekends James and his wife can be found rock climbing outside at a local crag.

Rick Harris

BUSINESS DEVELOPER

When Rick joined Yardnique in 2014, he brought with him over 30 years of experience in the commercial green industry. With degrees and certifications in Ornamental Horticulture, Landscape Design, Aquatics Management, Stormwater BMP, Pond Management, Integrated Pest Management and LID Technologies, Rick brings a broad range of expertise to our clients.  Whether ensuring service is delivered properly or  consulting on property upgrades and enhancements, Rick is a dependable as the day is long.  

Tyler Bearden

PROJECT MANAGER

Tyler joined the Yardnique team in September of 2015. Born and raised in Durham, NC, Tyler relocated to Wilmington in 2002 leading our coastal Carolina project teams. Earning his degree in Construction Management from Cape Fear Community College with and over 5 years of experience in the industry. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors, traveling, going to beach, and spending time with his wife Collin and their two dogs.

Tyler Motley

RALEIGH INSTALLATION DIVISION MANAGER

Tyler began working with Yardnique in the summer of 2005, as an intern and crew leader for the pruning crew. After graduating from N.C. State with a BS in Horticulture in 2008, he joined the Install department full-time as a Project Manager. He has been working for Yardnique since minus a three month hiatus in 2009 to tour Costa Rica as a volunteer on several organic farms as a part of WWOOF (Willing Workers on Organic Farms). Tyler currently runs the Fayetteville Install division, as well as oversees the efforts in our newest location, Jacksonville, NC. When not working, his focus is on family, fun and anything outdoors.

Bobby Jones

Enhancement Manager

Bobby joined the Yardnique family in the spring of 2010. In addition to managing Yardnique’s brand, he is also one of the company’s best landscape designers. He graduated from NC State University with a B.S. Degree in Horticulture Science, Landscape concentration. Bobby also has a Permaculture design/consultant certification. In his free time, Bobby enjoys the outdoors, cycling, and playing bass guitar in the band Closers Only.

Christian Manning

Enhancement Manager

Christian was born and raised in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. He started at Yardnique in 2019, as a crew member, with several years experience in the green industry. He was determined to grow and make a career at Yardnique. So with consistent hard work he has grown exponentially within the company. He loves spending time with his girlfriend Tracie, daughter Averi, and 2 dogs, Nova and Kane.

Barrett Hines

BRANCH MANAGER

Barrett has been a member of Yardnique’s Landscape Maintenance division since January 2010. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture from NC State University. Prior to working at Yardnique, Barrett’s experience in the green industry included retail nursery sales and landscape installation. Barrett lives in Raleigh with his wife Allison, their daughter Cameron, and the family dog Milo. He enjoys the outdoors, golfing and traveling.

Allen Jones

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Allen joined the Yardnique family in July 2015. Originally from Goshen, NY, He moved to the area in 2006. Allen spent 20+ years working on Wall Street and has dedicated his career on providing great customer service. Now the only streets he works on are filled with nature’s beauty. In his free time, Allen enjoys reading, golf, and spending time with his wife and their three children.  

Bill Craig

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Bill was born and raised in Cumberland, Maryland and found his way to North Carolina when earning his BS degree in Agronomy at NC State University in 1995. After 11 years as a Golf Course Superintendent for a local country club, Bill joined the Yardnique team in 2014. In his free time, he enjoys sports, home brewing, fishing, and spending time with his wife April, and their kids Madison and Sean.

Eric Krautheimer

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Originally from Long Island, NY, Eric relocated to the Raleigh area 11 years before joining Yardnique in 2019. He has a background in sales and client relations, and enjoys working in customer service industries. Eric loves spending time with his family, is a big sports fan, and is passionate about golf.

Jason Loos, I have been in landscape industry for 7 years. Before landscaping i was in the golf ad sport management field, affording me a unique set of customer service skills. I enjoy being outside and interacting on a personal level with my customers, crew and coworkers. I do take great pride and pleasure in meeting expectations by Yardnique and the community I serve.

Adam Boyette

REGIONAL DIRECTOR

Adam joined Yardnique in 2013 and brings over 20 years of landscape and horticulture experience, primarily in commercial maintenance. Originally from Florida, he moved to North Carolina in 2005 and worked for a wholesale nursery before returning to account management.

Tanner Hardee

BRANCH MANAGER

Tanner is originally from Wendell, North Carolina where he grew up on his family’s cattle farm. He graduated from NC State University with a degree in agriculture. After several years honing his skills in the green industry, Tanner joined Yardnique in 2013. He enjoys supporting his alma mater by cheering on the Wolfpack at football and baseball games. In his free time Tanner enjoys fishing and spending time at the beach with his wife Ashley.

Brandon Paschal

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Brandon is originally from Florence, SC and started his career in the food service industry when he was drawn to the art landscaping. “With landscaping you create things every day and watch it come to life and transform right in before your eyes. It’s instant gratification!” Brandon joined Yardnique in 2015 with over 4 years of experience in the green industry. Before moving to the Triangle area, he lived in Asheville where he met his beautiful wife Mckenzie, and discovered a passion for kayaking and other outdoor activities, such as snowboarding and tubing.

Brandon Myers

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Originally from Ohio, Brandon began his landscaping career when living in Florida before relocating to the triangle area in 2018. He joined the YN team with over 8 years of experience in the green industry and has credentials and certifications ranging from leadership and management practices to OSHA safety.  His background in landscape management and business development has been invaluable to Yardnique’s growth. In his free time, Brandon enjoys exploring the area with his lovely wife and three children, and is also a competitive strongman and powerlifter

Landon Estes

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Landon joined Yardnique in the spring of 2018 and brings over 20 years of lawn and landscape experience primarily in the commercial maintenance division. Originally from Washington State, Landon and his family moved to North Carolina recently for the warmer weather and the travel opportunities the east coast provides.

Audrey Duffy

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Audrey joined Yardnique in 2019 with over 33 years of experience in the green industry – some would say her blood is green. She grew up in Roanoke Rapids, NC and relocated to the Raleigh area in 2012. Audrey received a forestry degree from NC State University, is a NC Certified Plantsman and IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.  One of her claims to fame is her role in landscaping operations for Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers. She loves horses, enjoys gardening at home, and spending time with her family.

Andrew Truex

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Andrew joined Yardnique in the spring of 2019. Originally from Ohio, he relocated to the Raleigh area in 2004 where he pursued his passion for soccer as a full time coach and a director of soccer operations for a local club so he has always had is feet in the grass. In his free time, he enjoys surfing, cooking, and spending time with his daughter Hannah.

OFFICE COORDINATOR

Sam is originally from the Hemet, California area where she received her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Mt. San Jacinto College. Relocating to NC shortly before joining the Yardnique family in 2017, she began her journey with us as a temp before working her way up into her current role. In her free time, Sam enjoys the outdoors and going on adventures with friends and family.

Corey Bittner

BRANCH MANAGER

Originaly from Walden, New York, Corey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Contracting from SUNY Cobleskill in Cobleskill, New York.  His first 10 years of experience in the green industry were at design/build firms in upstate New York where he designed and installed full scale projects including patios, retaining walls, pools, plantings, irrigation and landscape lighting. Lucky for us, Corey relocated to Wilmington, North Carolina with his wife Marcia and joined the Yardnique family during the summer of 2013. His favorite part about his job is getting transform outdoor spaces for his Yardnique customers. While not working, Corey enjoys snowboarding, golfing, and going to the beach with his friends.

Mark Dawson

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Mark grew up and resided in the Raleigh, NC area until permanently relocating to Southeastern North Carolina in 2002. He joined Yardnique in 2016 with over 20 years’ experience in the green industry, primarily in the area of landscape maintenance. He has a degree in Ornamental and Landscape Horticulture from NC State University. In his spare time Mark enjoys working in his own home landscape, orchard and vineyard.

Brandon Lutz

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Brandon is originally from Winchester, VA, where he worked for his family’s landscaping business before relocating to the Wilmington area. He joined Yardnique in 2018 with over 15 years of experience in the green industry working for large scale landscape operations, primarily HOA and commercial accounts. Brandon enjoys the outdoors hunting and fishing, and spending time with his wife and 2 boys.  

Josh Nealon

Account Manager

Josh joined Yardnique in early 2019 with over 14 years of experience in the green industry. Originally from Quincy, MA, he relocated to the coastal NC area in 2016. Josh is a Marine Corps veteran and enjoys the outdoors, going to the beach, and spending his free time with his wife Caitlin, and their twin boys James and Colin.

John McWilliams

Account Manager

Over 40 yrs. experience in the green industry, he has a degree in Environmental Design at SUNY Cobleskill, Cobleskill NY., Licensed NC Landscape Contractor, NC Pesticide License, Certified Plant Professional and Horticulturist. Originally from Baltimore and having 25 years experience in a local residential landscape design/build firm, he moved to Charlotte NC in 2005 and worked with a national landscape maintenance and commercial landscape installation firm.  He’s been with Yardnique since the fall of 2020, and we are happy to have him. He enjoys free time with his wife Camilla for 32 yrs., my 2 grown boys and their family, going to the beach, surfing, sailing, golf, good food, and love dogs.

Andrew Redden

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Born in Florida and Raised in Charlotte, NC, Andrew owned and operated his own landscaping business for 8 years before moving to Wilmington to get back to a coastal lifestyle. Joining Yardnique in 2017, he came to us with tremendous landscape business experience.   Andrews earned his Business Management degree from UNC-Charlotte. In his free time, Andrew enjoys being near the beach meeting new people and saltwater fishing.

Greg Dionne

Account Manager

Greg joined the Yardnique team July of 2021. Greg has over 30 years’ experience in residential and commercial maintenance, landscape installation and design. He has an AAS degree in Horticulture through Montgomery College and was on the dean’s list as well as PLANET certified. He enjoys spending time with his wife Samantha and daughter Emma and throwing cornhole whenever possible. He looks forward to making new lasting relationships with board members and property managers in the Myrtle Beach area.

Kristine DeLuna

Kristine joined our Wilmington branch shortly after relocating to the area from San Diego during the summer of 2016. Originally coming on as a temp, she become a full-time Yardnique’r in January 2017 after proving herself as a valuable asset and team member to the branch. In her free time, Kristine enjoys traveling, journaling, painting, and DIY projects.  

Gerald Presley

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Gerald is originally from Fort Myers, Florida and moved to the Atlanta area in the 1980’s and now works for our Atlanta area clients. In his free time, Gerald enjoys spending time with his wife, working in the yard and tending to his vegetable garden, and woodworking.  

Karin Duncan

OFFICE COORDINATOR

Born and raised in Southern California, Karin moved to Georgia in the 1990’s to be closer to her brothers. She joined the original Estes team in 2013 with nearly 40 years of accounting experience, mostly in AP. Karin enjoys traveling with her husband John, spending time with her two children and granddaughter, and of course plenty of walks with her pup Suzie.
